Our Story

We are a local homegrown company that began with a 1955 Oliver tractor/backhoe and an old dump truck we bought at auction. We have evolved and grown over the years and our equipment is a bit more modern. We are a sole proprietor-owned business and our family has had our roots in the beautiful Nippenose Valley for nearly 70 years. We utilize other local small businesses when sourcing all of our needed resources including banking, insurance, material supplies and equipment for our business.

Although we have many years of experience in the trade dating back over 20 years it wasn’t until 2019 that we turned our hobby into a business. Heavy equipment projects which transform an area into something more functional or aesthetically pleasing have always been a passion for us. We are always looking to add specialized equipment to our inventory to expand our capabilities and bring value to our customers.

What's in a Name?

“What’s in a Name?” We get a lot of questions about our name and where it came from. The name goes back to the 1930’s and has its roots in tragedy for the Wrench family. My father, William T. Wrench was one of three brothers (Robert, John and William) and when William was a baby, his brothers were killed by train while crossing the Lycoming Creek in Newberry returning from a summer swimming outing in the creek. This effectively left my dad as the last surviving Wrench to carry on the family name. He and my mother, the former Mary Ann Moore, produced 5 children, three of which were brothers Mike, Bernie and Tom and the second generation of three Wrench brothers was established. Fast forward a few years and my wife and I were blessed with 3 sons ourselves and so the 3rd generation of 3 Brothers continues. My wife and I now have multiple grandchildren and the possibility exists that a 4th generation of 3 brothers will extend the legacy. (Stay tuned for that one!)

Let's talk.
